Arches National Park
 Delicate Arch may well be the most recognizable natural
stone span in the world. Few natural features
surpass the photogenic quality of this arch and its
setting. This stone sculpture creates a 50 by 30
foot opening at the edge of an Entrada sandstone cliff
with the picturesque La Sal Mountains rising to nearly
12,000 feet in the distance. Within Arches
National Park many other arches of renown create
impressive views. Landscape Arch extends 300 feet
with a remarkably thin, flat sandstone ribbon.
According to park information, there are more than 2000
additional named arches in The Park including the 306
foot span of Landscape Arch that seems to defy logic
with its remarkably thin sandstone slab.Visitors have
convenient access with accommodations from rustic in The Park to
deluxe in the nearby town of Moab, Utah. Well maintained
trails that begin from roadside locations provide easy walks to
many of the most spectacular features. Scenes of this
