"In every dimension of
life, photography gives me inspiration." That is how
Marv introduces the personal importance of
photography. Photography represents both work and joy
for Marv. The energy he derives from every aspect of
the photographic process, fills much of his thought
and drives his creative fervor. "I strive to engage
the emotions evoked by the natural realm, especially
the mystery or magical essence of light-play in the
world. My pictures emerge through imagination and
experience with the interaction between light and
subject."

Expanding the
creative process and the potential of new print media,
Marv remains very interested in optical photography,
digital printmaking and the computer as an additional
creative tool. Speaking of his commitment to his craft
Marv says, "Fulfilling my goal of sharing the results
of photographic imagery remains a 40-year priority
through archival fine art prints, publishing, and computer-based
imagery."
